The initial situation is a natural shell,
which was scanned three-dimensionally in the CT procedure. Based on the obtained 3D data, an STL file is created via triangulation. This is used to create the shell in the 3D printing process. The mussel created in the additive manufacturing process is compared with the scanned volume model by means of a target-actual comparison in order to visualize deviations. Further possible investigations on the scanned object are voids analysis, wall thickness analysis and geometric measurement.
